Block I Objectives
In the basic, behavioral and clinical science courses of Block I, the students should be able to describe the orientation and structure of each science (e.g., physiology deals with function of cells, tissues, and organ systems).
Students should develop a facility with the terminology and basic concepts, principles and skills of each science that will allow them to advance their own learning in these sciences later in the curriculum.
Additionally, students should begin to develop their professional identity as a physician and to adopt behaviors and values consistent with that role.
